First job outside of real estate: First job was bagging groceries at Shaw’s Supermarket at age 14

First job in real estate or allied field: At the age of 17, I was hired as a retail leasing broker and investment sales analysis at East Rock Properties

What do you do now and what are you planning for the future? I serve as the director of national retail for Time Equities, Inc. (TEI). In my ninth year with TEI, I am now responsible for retail acquisitions, dispositions, asset management and leasing of a $500 million, 4 million s/f portfolio of 55 properties in 22 states. Plans for the future include growing our retail portfolio and continuing to build on our retailer relationships.

How do you unwind from a busy day in real estate? I enjoy spending my free time playing with my one-year-old daughter, spending time on the tennis court and traveling abroad.

Favorite book or author: Malcolm Gladwell

Favorite movie: “The Dark Knight”

One word to describe your work environment: Organized chaos

Rules to live by in business: Your word is your equity.

If you could invite one person to dinner (living or dead, but not related to you) who would it be and where would you go? Leonardo DiCaprio (I am fairly confident we would get along great) and we’d go to St. Tropez.

What is your dream job? (something other than your current job): Any type of a doctor helping others, but the sight of blood makes my stomach turn.
