Education: University of Miami, B.B.A. with honors; Brooklyn Law School, J.D.

First job outside of real estate: I worked in real estate for my entire career. My first job out of college was as a financial analyst for a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT). I worked in finance for the REIT for three years before attending law school.

What do you do now and what are you planning for the future? I am responsible for overseeing all of the legal and compliance activities of the company and its subsidiaries and affiliates. I work with the rest of Simone’s executive team in leading contract negotiations, handling disputes, overseeing the processing of insurance claims, serving as corporate secretary and representing the company in risk management and litigation.

How do you unwind from a busy day in real estate? I go home and play with my kids and spend time catching up with my husband over a glass of wine.

Favorite book or author: “Atlas Shrugged” by Ayn Rand

Favorite movie: “The Thomas Crown Affair”

Last song you purchased/downloaded? “Am I Wrong” by Nico & Vinz

One word to describe your work environment: Organized

Rules to live by in business: 1) Identify what you are passionate about. You will work harder, be more motivated and ultimately be more successful. 2) Never compromise your values, and always maintain the highest standards of ethics. You only have one reputation in life, and it is very valuable. Never do anything to compromise it.

If you could invite one person to dinner (living or dead, but not related to you) who would it be and where would you go? I would love to invite Mary Anne Tighe over for Shabbat dinner at my home.

What is your DREAM job? (something other than your current job) I am extremely fortunate to be in a position I have always wanted. I love to do great deals, and it is very exciting to play a role in creating incredible real estate development projects.
